By Metro:
The Street Festival is 3 blocks east of the Takoma Metro
Station on the Red Line. When exiting the Metro station, head straight out the door and east on Carroll St., letting your ears guide you to the music...you can't miss us!
By car:
From Maryland (north):
- Travel south on New Hampshire Avenue (Rt. 650).
- Turn right (west) onto East-West Highway (Rt. 410).
- Travel 1
mile to Carroll Avenue (at the firehouse) and bear left.
- 1.5 blocks to the Festival entrance.
From Maryland and Virginia (west):
- Travel south on Georgia Avenue.
- After passing Colesville Rd (Rt. 29) in downtown Silver Spring, turn left onto either Wayne Avenue, Bonifant St., or Sligo Avenue.
- Travel 1 block east to Fenton St. and turn right.
- Turn left onto Philadelphia Avenue (Rt. 410).
- Travel 1 mile (cross Piney Branch Rd. and past stop sign) to Maple Avenue (at the Library/Municipal Center), and turn right.
- Travel 3 blocks to Carroll Avenue and the Festival entrance.
- (Note: you can't turn left from Georgia Ave. onto East-West Highway)
From Downtown DC and Virginia (south):
- Travel north on 16th Street NW, 13th Street NW, or Georgia Avenue NW toward the Walter Reed neighborhood.
- Turn right on Aspen Street NW, cross Piney Branch Rd. and Blair Rd. NW, and go under the railroad tracks.
- Continue to the next stop sign and turn left onto Laurel Ave. NW.
- Travel 1 block to the Festival entrance.
